Empowering 700 Girls in Kenya: Snapplify and WUSC-EUMC Deliver Digital Literacy to Refugee Communities

In collaboration with the World University Service of Canada (WUSC-EUMC), Snapplify is driving meaningful change by rolling out a digital literacy programme that empowers 700 girls in Kakuma and Kalobeyei refugee camps and Turkana County, Kenya. This initiative is a significant step forward in providing equitable access to education and equipping young learners with the tools they need to thrive.

Through this programme, girls are gaining access to Kenya’s Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) content, digital life skills resources, and the broader opportunities that digital learning can offer. By leveraging innovative edtech solutions, Snapplify and WUSC-EUMC are creating pathways for improved educational outcomes and enhancing the prospects of these young learners.

This initiative is closely aligned with UNESCO’s education goals of promoting literacy, gender equality, and lifelong learning opportunities. By focusing on the specific needs of girls in under-resourced and marginalised areas, the programme is fostering inclusive and transformative education.

Delivering Value Through Digital Tools

Snapplify’s platform makes high-quality educational resources accessible anytime, anywhere. For these girls, access to CBC-aligned digital tools and content means more than just learning; it is a chance to develop critical skills that prepare them for future employment and leadership opportunities. From digital literacy to life skills training, the resources provided are designed to inspire confidence and enable success.
